Handmade from 100% cotton handloom fabric, hand-dyed using Oeko-Tex Passport-certified dyes – with an inside layer of upcycled 100% cotton fabric, and hand-embroidered by a mother in Bangladesh.
Dimensions: 175cm x 50cm
The scarf comes presented in a re-usable cotton drawstring bag, hand-crafted from a vintage sari offcut, with a packaging insert explaining Khushi Kantha’s social enterprise mission and story – so it works perfectly as a gift!
The label hand-stitched into the scarf features the geo-coordinates of the village in North-West Bangladesh where it’s made, the hand-embroidered name of the mother who made it, and the product’s unique number.
Every purchase comes with a unique story attached – and creates an opportunity for a mother in Bangladesh to provide for her children with dignity.
We've partnered with a GOTS-certified Bangladeshi garments factory to breathe new life into what’s known as ‘deadstock cotton fabric, by repurposing it to line our products.
Our scarves have been pre-washed multiple times, to ensure the fabric doesn't shrink and the colours don't run.
Protect the environment: Gentle wash at 30 degrees, with similar colours. Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
