Embroidery design:Our embroidery designs are named after our favourite parts of North-West Bangladesh. Kurigram district on the Indian border has many rivers running through it, including the Brahmaputra, the Dharla, and the Tista.
Colours: Our bespoke colour palette is named after the mothers who make our blankets and their children.
The pouch bag comes presented in a re-usable cotton drawstring bag, hand-crafted from a vintage sari offcut, with a packaging insert explaining Khushi Kantha’s social enterprise mission and story – so it works perfectly as a gift!
The label hand-stitched into the bag features the geo-coordinates of the village in North-West Bangladesh where it’s made, the hand-embroidered name of the mother who made it, and the product’s unique number.
